To the left is a picture of Club Cubano before our group lessons start...this is our biggest location with a wonderful hard-wood floor perfect for dancing.  We offer multiple levels at all of our locations.  You will always find at the minimum a Beginners and an Intermediate Level at any of our locations.  Some locations will also offer additional levels.  At Club Cubano, for example, we offer 4 levels.  Since the space is so huge we can fit all the levels and still have room to dance.  Our 4 Levels are: Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced/Performers.

Here you see Club Cubano after our lessons begin..."The Cultural Explosion Effect"...on our busiest night (Thursdays) we have approximately 90 students on a weekly basis dancing at Club Cubano.  The Lessons begin with a warm-up at all of our locations.  The Warm-up is to get your blood flowing and to loosen you up.  After the warm-up we proceed to demonstrate the requirements for each level.  That way you can see for yourself which level you should go to.  Some of our students start our lessons with no prior experience but some have taken lessons elsewhere or have been dancing for a while; therefore our Requirements Demonstration will allow you to judge for yourself which level you belong in as all the requirements are demonstrated.  

Company Directors:

Juan and Christina are the Directors of Cultural Explosion Dance Company.  Juan is the founder of the company and the creator of the Cultural Explosion Teaching Style.  Christina is the Artistic Director adding the feminine touch for costumes, styling, and choreography.  Juan's training in partner dances and folkloric dances combined with Christina's classical training in Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop & Competitive Dance results in an Explosive concoction!! 

Juan created Cultural Explosion Dance Company while he was still a student at Seton Hall University.  As he studied Business Management he noticed he had a passion for Latin Dance since he spent all of his free time at the Clubs.  Whenever he wasn't studying he was dancing.  So Juan decided to take his Passion and his Education and put them together...that's how he created Cultural Explosion.  

Years Later Christina joined his classes and excelled through the levels making it to the dance company and in a very short time through her hard-work and talent and soon after that became the second in command.  She is now known and recognized internationally in the Latin Dance Scene.

Teaching Staff:

 Here's our staff of trained instructors.  These instructors are personally trained by Juan Calderon and Christina Piedra in the Cultural Explosion Instructional System.  This system, designed by Juan Calderon, has over 10 years of work put into it.  It is designed to enable you to learn quickly, easily and in a fun manner.  The lessons are taught in a lively environment and are action packed with plenty of material to challenge you but not overwhelm you.

2)  Meet People - Our Group Classes are a perfect place to meet new people interested in Dancing.  During a Group Class we rotate everybody around so that you have an opporutinity to dance with everyone in class.

3)  Learn to Adjust to Different Dance Partners - As a result of our rotation you will learn how to adjust your dancing to different dance partners.  This will be an essential skill that will help you when social dancing.
