Our dancers have gained worldwide recognition for their uniqueness and creativity in performance, for their patient and entertaining style of instructing, and for their classy, elegant and exciting style of dancing.
Our dancers have traveled all over the United States, Latin America and Europe to teach, perform and even train other instructors. Juan Calderon, director of Cultural Explosion, has created a syllabus which makes teaching and learning easy. So easy, that other schools, companies and dance studios have adopted his style due to its effectiveness.
Our teaching style has resulted in our instructional DVDs becoming one of the top sellers wordlwide on Amazon.com. Cultural Explosion's Artistic Directors, Juan Calderon & Christina Piedra served as featured choreographers for the NBA's New York Knicks Dacners. The NY Knicks Dancers performed their choreography throughout the season during their halftime show at the World Famous Madison Square Garden.

Our Mission:
We, the Cultural Explosion Dancers, consider ourselves not only instructors & performers but also ambassadors of Latin Music, Dance & Culture. In order to fulfill this role, our company members understand the cultural and historical importance of the dances and their origins. Through extensive research, our company is able to educate others on the backgrounds of the dances we teach and perform. This knowledge has allowed us to reach new heights and set new standards in dance instruction and entertainment. Whether teaching a lesson or a choreography, giving a lecture, or performing one of our creative and unique numbers, we, Cultural Explosion have made it our mission to bring the joy of music, dance and culture to others.
